Exit 16 (Mt. Hood, Gresham, Wood Village). Right onto Hogan Road, south. Continue approximately 3 miles to 7th signal light (note: U-Haul rental on left). Left onto Burnside Street which segues with Powell into Highway 26. Continue East approximately 30 miles through Sandy then 12.5 miles into left-lane for Brightwood turnoff onto Brightwood Loop Road. Approx. 1/4 mile, left at Y-intersection driving between Tavern & Store onto Brightwood Bridge Road. Follow approx. 1/4 mile across Sandy River to T-intersection, right onto Barlow Trail Road. Note: Check odometer: EXACTLY 9/10th mile to Brightwood Guest House, on the left. From East (Hood River) Follow signs to Oregon Hwy 35 S, then proceed approximately 25 minutes to conjunction with Hwy 26 W and continue west over Mt. Hood. Continue on Hwy 26 W through the community of Rhododendron and turn right (directly across from the ZigZag Inn) onto LoLo Pass Road for 1 mile. Turn left onto Barlow Trail west, proceed exactly 4 miles and turn right into the drive of Brightwood Guest House. From East (Bend) Follow Highway 197 W to Hwy 26 W, over Mt. Hood. Continue approximately 17 miles. Right onto Lolo Pass Road (note:just before the Zig Zag Store on right). Proceed exactly 1 mile to intersection with Barlow Trail Road, east. Turn left, drive exactly 4 miles, and turn right into drive of the Brightwood Guest House. From South (Salem) Oregon I-5 N to I-205 N (Oregon City, Washington exit). Continue to Exit #12, Hwy 212 N (Mt. Hood, Estacada). Drive through Damascus & Boring to junction with Hwy 26 E (Sandy, Mt. Hood), turning right before overpass. Brightwood exit is approximately 12.5 miles beyond Sandy. Proceed as directed above "From North". From West (Portland) I-84 East (The Dalles, Mt. Hood) to Exit 16. Proceed as directed above "From North". |
